ECMWF tools

The ECMWF offers tools relevant for the TIGGE project:

TIGGE data availability monitoring
- sometimes called the history page; the data gaps can be clearly seen there
TIGGE data monitoring
- some maps and histograms for all parameters and chosen lead times and ensemble members

Other common tools like grib-api or metview can be used for data decoding/encoding or visualization.

Tools on other websites

A wide range of tools for manipulating TIGGE data is available from the NCAR TIGGE portal. They include tools from a range of different providers to visualise and manipulate GRIB2 and netcdf data, and to support model validation.

A set of scripts to download TIGGE data, and plot it (using GrADS ) is available from http://tparc.mri-jma.go.jp/TIGGE/TIGGE_sample.html.

Tools for use with Cyclone XML data are available from the CAWCR CXML website
