In most of the cases, it refers to the Globe (G), i.e. the whole Earth. Domain is not a manipulation keyword. Depending on the product, domain has different meanings:
For Cluster and Tube products, domain
specifies the area over which the cluster computation is carried out. The following values are valid:
value | meaning |
---|---|
E | General European Area |
A | North West Europe |
B | North East Europe |
C | South West Europe |
D | South East Europe |
H | European Area (70° N, 20° W, 30° N, 40° E) |
For Wave data, domain
represents the geographical domain for which the data was produced. The following values are valid:
value | meaning |
---|---|
G | Globe |
M | Mediterranean (Limited Area) |
Northern Hemisphere (N) and Southern Hemisphere (S) can be used for old 2D-wave spectra products, keyword code 250.
