The World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) Commission for Basic Systems (CBS-2016) recommended to establish a Lead Centre for Wave Forecast Verification (LC-WFV) and to designate ECMWF as this Lead Centre.

• We have been still mostly gathering information helping us to establish the data format and the file name convention for the project.
• The institutes  participating in the current Wave Forecast Verification Project maintained by Jean Bidlot for JCOMM have been mainly invited but other Centres are welcome to join the project.
