In the dataset a total of 205 days in the dataset have been classified as completely missing. At times, high-quality HIRS observations were unavailable due to temporary instrument malfunctions. When such malfunctions occurred during a single-satellite POES operation period, the prolonged absence of HIRS data led to missing or erroneous daily OLR values. The table 4 below provides a detailed list of missing days, including the affected time periods
