Please be aware that the issues with data on this page are rather the more recent ones. Because of the length of TIGGE project (since 2006) and its only research status (not production) we are aware of other old issues in the past which have not always be properly reported and thus captured. Please let us know in case you encounter any data issue in TIGGE dataset.

1. Brief  description:

There have been various data issues with examples below in CMA contribution to TIGGE since 2022. Those issues were not archived but archived mostly as it is.

  • Total Cloud Cover, paramId=228164) has unrealistic value of 100 globaly

  • Temperature (paramId=130 with [K]) on some pressure levels has negative values

  • excessive values of some pressure level parameters like:
    • U component of wind, paramId=131

    • V component of wind, paramId=132

    • Specific humidity, paramId=133

  • zero surface fields like:

    • 10 metre U wind component, paramId=165

    • 10 metre V wind component, paramId=166

    • 2 metre temperature, paramId=167

    • Orography, paramId=228002

2. Recommendation:

Users should be aware of these occasional issues.
